Susie Bolin Summers

Partner, Attorney

Susie Bolin Summers is a transactional attorney who concentrates her practice in estate planning, probate, business entity formation, business planning, tax planning, and real estate law. Susie's estate planning practice includes counseling estate planning clients on complex trust and probate matters. Her estate planning experience includes the representation of clients in drafting and funding complex trusts and trust administration.

 

Susie's business practice includes the formation of business entities, the purchase and sale of business entities, asset purchases and complex business transactions. Susie also assists clients in the formation of not-for-profit entities, and the completion of IRS Form 1023 to obtain tax-exempt status for said not-for-profit entities. A substantial amount of Susie's business practice involves negotiating and drafting contracts and agreements for her business clients.

 

Her estate planning and business practice require Susie to work closely with financial advisors, certified public accountants, trust departments and various other professional advisors to properly advise her clients.

 

Susie is originally from Ada, Oklahoma, where she was a graduate of Latta High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with the honors distinction of Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Oklahoma in 2005. While at the University of Oklahoma, Susie was a member and officer of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. She received a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2008 where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

 

Susie is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Pontotoc County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Alvin Files

Partner, Attorney

Alvin Files retired in December of 2019, and he now serves in an “of counsel” role. 

Prior to his retirement, Alvin Files had a varied legal practice with emphasis on real estate, contracts, business transactions, probate, and estate planning, including serving for many years as the city attorney for the City of Ada.


Alvin has extensive experience in real estate title examination, negotiation and drafting of contracts, and general civil practice. He is also certified as a mediator for both civil and family/divorce mediations.

 

Alvin received a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of Oklahoma where he was chosen to become a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received a Juris Doctorate degree with special distinction from the University of Oklahoma. In addition, Alvin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, with honors, from East Central University in Ada.

 

Alvin is admitted to practice in the federal courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma and in the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.


He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Pontotoc County Bar Association, the Oregon Bar Association (presently inactive), and the Marion County (Oregon) Bar Association.
